2. Personal Identity Information: We do not collect first name, last name, date of birth, or country of residence. However, Stripe, our payment processor, may request and process this information depending on the selected payment method during checkout.

At BitInPeace, we are committed to collecting only the minimal information necessary to provide our services securely and comply with legal obligations. This includes:

1. Email Address for Essential Communication: Your email address is collected to facilitate important updates and notifications regarding your use of the platform. It is securely encrypted and used solely for communication purposes.
2. Subscription and Payment Processing: All payment transactions are processed through Stripe. BitInPeace does not collect or store any payment details such as credit card numbers or bank account information. Payment data is handled directly by Stripe in compliance with PCI-DSS security standards.
3. Limited Usage Data (Only If You Consent): If you opt in to analytics cookies, we collect limited usage information about how visitors interact with our website and application, such as page views, scroll interactions, and outbound link clicks. This information helps us understand traffic and improve the Service. It may include online identifiers (for example, cookie identifiers), device and browser information, and approximate location derived from IP address.

3. User Anonymity and Wallet Interactions

Our platform allows users to interact by connecting their wallets without revealing wallet activities. Besides the email address of the users, we do not store any personal information.

Wallet connections are established securely following industry-standard protocols as recommended by leading wallet manufacturers. You are in full control of your wallet at all times. We do not request, collect, or store private keys or other non-public data associated with your digital assets. You can see and verify all transactions on your wallet, and they can only be approved and signed by you.

1. Account Registration and Subscription Management: To create and maintain your account, manage your subscription, and send relevant notifications and reminders.
2. Regulatory Compliance (Handled by Stripe): Stripe processes payments and ensures compliance with sanctions and financial regulations, including screening against prohibited countries and sanctioned individuals.
3. Tax Calculation and Compliance: Stripe’s automatic tax module determines and collects applicable taxes based on your location and local tax regulations.

5. How We Protect Your Information

We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and security. BitInPeace does not collect or store personal identity information such as First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, or Country of Residence. Stripe, our payment processor, may collect this information as required by financial regulations.

We have implemented advanced security measures to ensure this information remains protected from unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration.

1. Encrypted Storage of Email Addresses: Your email address is securely encrypted and stored to meet the highest industry standards for data protection.

3. Communication Assurance: We only send emails related to the transfer request status updates and the regular reminders that you opted into during the setup process. No additional or unsolicited emails will be sent.

BitInPeace does not store or process any payment data. All transactions, including tax calculation, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance, are handled securely by Stripe in compliance with PCI-DSS security standards and international financial regulations.

9. Data Retention

BitInPeace retains only the data required to provide its services and comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations. This includes:

1. Transfer Request Data: Information necessary for the execution and management of transfer requests is retained to fulfill service obligations.
2. Email Address: Stored for notifications, account-related activities, and communications.
3. Subscription Data: Stripe reference data to track active subscriptions and billing history managed through Stripe.

We do not store private keys, payment details, or personal identity information.

We operate in the Netherlands, but we are committed to complying with global data protection regulations, including:

1. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): We ensure that users in the European Union (EU) have full control over their data. Users can request access, modification, or deletion of their personal data at any time.

BitInPeace does not manually verify users for compliance with international sanctions. Instead, we rely on Stripe’s verification process to screen users based on their location and ensure compliance with restrictions against prohibited countries and sanctioned individuals. If Stripe blocks a transaction due to sanctions, we will not be able to provide services to the affected user.
